Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery is Carlisle's finest visitor attraction, and houses considerable collections of fine and decorative art, human history and natural sciences.  It also boasts a wide range of exhibitions and events, brought together in one impressive museum and art gallery.

A fusion of old and new awaits you, from the beautiful Old Tullie House, a classical Grade One Listed Jacobean building to the Border Galleries, full of exciting exhibits and interactive displays.

There is something for everyone at Tullie House. Children and adults of all ages will find fun, hands-on exhibits and even games: fire a Roman weapon, climb our life-sized section of Hadrian’s Wall or visit the badgers’ sett!

At Tullie House we pride ourselves upon being a family friendly museum.  We are the winner of the Telegraph Family Friendly Museum Award 2015!

Open daily, all year round except 25th/26th December and 1st January.

Restaurant open:

Adults: £7.70*                     
Concessions (senior citizens, students over 18 years): £5.50*
Exhibition Only - Adult/Concession/Group: £3.30*
General Admission (Adult) + Exhibition: £9.90*

General Admission (concession) + Exhibition: £8.80*

Children 18 and under, when accompanied by a paying adult - FREE  (unaccompanied children 12-18 years  - 50p)

Carlisle & District Residents are entitled to a Tullie Card for £4.00 per annum, which represents excellent value for money as it gives the holder free admission to our permanent galleries.

All Children Under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Student Group Rate (10+): £4.00 per student
